Meeting Frank Cullotta

For my 22nd Birthday, I've decided to go to the newly opened Mob  Museum. Little did I know, I was about to meet someone who played a big role of helping me with "Omerta Affair" and this is the story.

A few day's before I went to the Mob Museum, I went on the museum's website to see if some event was going to take place, while I was there I found out that Frank Cullotta would be there signing his book "Cullotta" during the same time as I was going to be there. Now at the time, I didn't know who he was until I Wikipedia his name and found out that the character Frank Marino from one of my favorite movies, Casino, was based on Frank Cullotta. I got excited! I always though it would be very cool to meet a real-life ex-mobster.

When my party arrived at the museum, a family member of mine, told the parking attendant that it was my Birthday. The parking attendant wish me, a Happy Birthday and he let us in to park. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw the parking attendant got on his walkie talkie. After we parked the car, the parking attendant approached me and told me to go right in the gift shop because, Frank Cullotta was waiting for me to wish me a Happy Birthday. I couldn't believe my luck or this parking attendant was full of it. To this day, I still don't know.

So we went in, waiting for some friends to show up while we got our tickets.  In the gift shop entryway, there was a sign out saying that Frank Cullotta was there signing his book. A friend of mine took a picture of me by the sign.

When we went in, That was when I first saw Frank, sitting there signing his books and taking pictures. There was a long line to meet him. So we decided to look around the shop until the line went down. After a bit there was no line, so I walked up and stood behind that person whom was having their copy of Frank's book sign by him. After that person was done I thought I was next to meet Frank, as I started to walk up to him, but it had turned out that the man next to me was there before me and was next. That was kind of embarrassing. I let him go ahead and waited  my turn.

When I finally walked up to meet Frank. He stood up and shook my hand. Then Frank asked me if I wanted a picture with him, and I said "Sure" so we took one, but some reason it didn't turn out, then we took another one and to my surprise Frank hugged me as the picture was being taken. After that, Frank and I started to talk while the picture was printing. I told him that I'm a writer working on my first book about the Mafia. He was interested he then gave me the photo of us for free since it was my birthday and signed it for me. Afterwards we wished each other good-bye, and I went into the museum with my party. Little did I know, I will be seeing him again.
A few weeks later, I went to a book store and bought Frank's book "Cullotta" and I read it. After I've finished the book, I thought what if he was on Facebook. So I found his Facebook fan page and got up the courage to message him telling him whom I was, and that I've enjoyed his book and meeting him.

A couple of days later, he replied to my message, and that is how our friendship began and through Frank, I met and made a lot of great friends. Thank's to Frank's help "Omerta Affair" was born and turn into a book.

Halloween Time

Today, I took time off and went shopping for new Halloween decorations to put up in my courtyard.  I've found a lot of cool decorations. This year I'm going all out! I already have put out my pumpkins that are all line up leading to the candy bowl.
This Halloween, I'm going to be a spider witch. I've got the mask and the hat, just need to put a outfit together and and wall-ah, I'm set to pass out candy to all of the kids. I'm looking forward seeing what will the kids going to dress up as and what will be the popular Halloween
costumes of 2013!

The reviews are in..... Here what people are saying about Omerta Affair!

"Ya know when you know a book is good when you can't put it down, and Omerta-Affairs is that kind of book." - Frank Cullotta

"This is a lovely, captivating story of a two-generation love affair, one mature, and one budding from the ashes of the first generation. It is rare to find a book that so beautifully portrays a torrid love affair without being pornographic. It also captures the violence of the Mafia's Las Vegas stronghold without capricious brutality."  - Unknown

"Alexandra Forry has written a must read book and I highly recommend it. If you like mob stories then get yourself a copy." - Ronald Fino
